Overview
Toyota’s 21 November 2017 release identifies T-HR3 as its third-generation humanoid developed by the Partner Robot Division. Its Master Maneuvering System maps an operator’s hand, arm and foot movements to the robot, while a head-mounted display provides the robot’s perspective. It should therefore not be presented as evidence of autonomous general-purpose assistance.
The release describes Torque Servo Modules and research into managing physical interactions with surroundings. Home, medical and disaster-response settings are exploration goals in that announcement, not verified deployments or a retail offer. This is a historical research record; the 2017 technical figures are explicitly dated and do not establish a currently supplied model.
